This year I traveled mostly around Nevada with one trip to Santa Cruz where I did find a very rare Red-footed Booby. Here are a few of my favorite photos I captured in 2018. One I really like is the one below of an interaction between a Northern Harrier and a Red-tailed Hawk. At the beginning of the walk around Diamond Creek pond in Reno, NV, I saw 2 hawks interacting and my first reaction was to bring up my camera and start shooting. I thought I was seeing 2 Harriers in a territorial dispute but it turned out that the Harrier really wanted the Red-tailed out of his space. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from 2018.
